'This Will Be The Death Of Us', the 2nd LP from Set Your Goals, sees the Californian sextet improve in almost every facet of their craft. With improved production, vocals, lyrics & musicianship; the heavier songs hit harder, while the poppier cuts are addictively anthemic. Add 5 value-adding guest vocals & it all results in greater diversity than on their fun debut. It doesn't quite hold up to the end & SYG may still not be breaking new ground, but they have delivered an energetic, sincere & involvingly enjoyable combination of pop-punk & melodic hardcore right here. Recommended Tracks: The Fallen, Our Ethos, Summer Jam & Look Closer.

My friend has been nagging me to check this band out so I'm finally going to give it a listen tonight. My expectations are low.

MAKE WAY FOR MAN

went to an august burns red concert with these guys opening. Crowd sucked egregious amounts of dick during their set. Also, Christians trying to convert people and getting into arguments while waiting to get inside.

Shitty time.

Everyone was bitching except for the two hardcore kids flailing around. Luckily my areas pretty nice and nobody was super-douche-imma-throw-shit-all-over-the-stage.

and august burns red put on a good show but man....christianity and christians and thanking the lord and shit i dont feel it.

I hope it's as good as this album, their last album was good but didn't touch this at all.
