LG gave Rush a 2.5 and this a 3.5 :|. How can someone do that?
|

Because that's obviously blasphemy towards music itself .

dude, gotta say how much I loved reading this
so great to see some intelligent insight on a band too often dismissed in a flurry of "lol gay"
great, great stuff

This album isn't really gay (but "Minutes To Midnight" was), but this is surely bad. Overall, this is bad. Shows promise here and there, but the overproduction in this album is so unbearable. Yeah, sure, they've always been suffering from overproduction, this is a whole new level of overproduction. Victimized seemed cool, but with a song length of 1:47, it's not ending up on anyone's playlist really.
What really annoys me about them is that it's as if they've stopped trying completely. I mean, how sad is it to recycle the same beats album after album. Heck, even the tunes seem so damn fuckin' similar, you could literally create one track out of the entire discography of Linkin Park and it'd still seem like one damn song.
Even with all these experimentations and whatsoever, they couldn't come out of their box.

i really just desperately want this band to release a GOOD album

That's because... err... your braille pad stopped working, my... uhh... blind friend.

Lol, elitism. I have to say Lost In The Echo was a pretty good track from what I heard. Not so much Burn It Down or Lies, Greed, Misery.
|
| |
Opening track isn't too bad, lyrics aside
Lies Greed Misery... well. When a song starts with "I'ma be the..." it's a dealbreaker. The two singles
they decided to go with are really cringe-worthy but this is a step up from their last.
I might go and listen back to Meteora and Reanimation tonight

At least I can look at the album cover.

good to know the rest of this is better than Burn It Down. Every time that song comes on the radio I switch stations, even to hear commercials.
Also...worst song they ever wrote...did everyone forget how terrible What I've Done was? Burn It Down is a close second though...
but yeah solid review have a pos

also, gonna give the title of LP's best to...Hands Held High. freaking chills down my spine every time. too bad it was on Minutes, which was awful everywhere else.
|
| |
Hands Held High has some sick lines but the instrumentation is boring as hell, Tracks of Fort Minor like Kenji are better

Good review. You brought up some good points. I like how you discussed the history of the band and its relation to the album. Really allowed me to understand the background more.
That said, my issue with with this album is its repetition and the poorly-put together electronics. Victimized was a really nice surprise, though, and reminded of Reveille—when they were still together.

I think the only tracks I hate on this CD, are the ones where they let mike shinoda sing the entire song. His voice is monotone and the songs are rather boring.
|

Worst band in the history of music
I hate them ever since.
brings back memories when I was still going to school. bad memories....
even back then I was rather listening to zeppelin and hendrix than to this fake garbage.
I have not listened to this album and I never will.
I am waiting for the day when this basterds will not sell millions of records to idiots like YOU !!!! (pardon to those people who hate this '' band'' as much as me)

Trebor, you're about 7 lines short of a sonnet. Why not go all the way?

Petrarchian or Shakespearian?
