I'm pretty solid in believing that Finale is the best Holter song and best song ever made.

This would be a lot better if its melodies were more consistently good.

This is a beautiful record that I am still trying to like more than I do...the problem and reason that I think this will never ascend beyond pretty good is that there's nothing at all to bring you back other than the memory of it being pleasant. There's too few melodies, too few lyrical gems, and most of all too little audible passion for what's being played. Call me wrong if you'd like, because after all this is my first Holter experience, but this should have been more. Where this stands, it's still an undeniably good record with a definitively soothing atmosphere (if the whole album illustrated the genius of Lucette and Sea, my tone would be entirely changed) - just lacking anything particularly astounding.

Not surprised that you don't dig it Sowing, doesn't seem like your vibe. I'm sure many agree with your dissensions - it's not a grower either unfortunately. I don't find myself returning to it much, despite playing it obsessively in the initial week. It's wonderful when it's spinning, but I never feel like I'm unearthing new feelings or perspectives when I listen, so it mostly just sits on my record shelf.

Yeah I pretty much agree with Sowing though I am a bit less forgiving. I thought I would dig this but nope, it just bores me for the most part.

I love embedding this and Hounds of Love into a playlist and just letting it play deep into the night
