If this album was at any level of quality to either Sgt. Peppers or OK Computer, then it would be praised as such. Regardless of the band name behind it or their popularity/fanbase. Now I havent heard anything off this album so I cant make a call like that. but wow.

Lol I love OKC as much as the next Sputnik user but my god does it get brought up a lot round here.
|
| |
its one of the highest rated albums of all time from just about every corner of the internet and beyond, so i dont know why its surprising that it gets brought up a lot
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
Nah I'm not suprised just commenting on an observation; It's the benchmark for all good albums on Sputnik.
|
| |
tbh, remember how we were all hating on the To Pimp a Butterfly's title before actually immersing ourself in the album? That there is evidence that people dont just dislike this because theyre the 1975 or the album title

Are you joking? I literally put in parenthesis that I'm not implying the album is as good as either of those, but whether it was or not, it wouldn't be praised as such because of the band's fanbase and image.

Also the average for this is way too low, no way it's as bad or mediocre as their self titled (which is about as good as an Imagine Dragons album)

Yeah, it's a pain when subjectivity doesn't work your way

Album Rating: 2.5
Hahahaha

Album Rating: 5.0
this album is literally made for you guys hahaha
|
| |
'made for you guys'
except that it isn't an opeth-gorguts collab with mikael akerfelt growling his arse off like he used to

lol u wild. 3.3 is way too low, it's a 3.5 at the lowest. I think we can all somewhat agree on that. Like no one's gonna rate Metal Machine Music higher than a 2.1 or Abbey Road below a 4. That's not subjectivity, it's a general consensus.

Album Rating: 5.0 | Sound Off
so are you guys just like metal purists who can't enjoy pop or...?
|
| |
Nah I just enjoy good pop ;]
|
| |
if you don't enjoy the album then you don't enjoy the album and that's it. general consensus can be whatever the hell but the users' own subjective opinions are the ones that define the album rating. i could easily give metal machine music a 4 if i liked it that much
|
| |
"so are you guys just like metal purists who can't enjoy pop or...?"
Making gross generalisations about people because their opinions don't fall into line with yours oh my
"lol u wild. 3.3 is way too low, it's a 3.5 at the lowest. I think we can all somewhat agree on that. Like no one's gonna rate Metal Machine Music higher than a 2.1 or Abbey Road below a 4. That's not subjectivity, it's a general consensus."
What does this even mean?
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.1
it's obvious isn't it? This is better than an album of equal value to MMM that is less than half as good as Abbey Road but at the very most a ripoff of Pavement, if x=true
|
| |
'thats not subjectivity, it's a general consensus'
Lol wow
|
| |
creating "general consensus" to match your subjective opinion by troll-5'ing. seems about right
|
| |
its hilarious, because their behavior in this thread only further gives 1975 the bad image that they feel like theyre wrongly given because of their fanbase.
