Yup. I can confidently say this is my third favorite work of his ever, behind DS and The Fragile. Could even tie/top Fragile with more time, tbh.

instrumentation is top notch

I'd had prefer him that make an actual album rather than make a facelift to an ep and say that it's an album.

Is anyone else feeling weird about the fact that these 3 EPs were supposed to be part of a conceptual whole but they all feel completely different? Like, I have no clue where NIN is at now... These last 3 releases have been very solid but with no cohesiveness. Not The Actual Events was by far the freshest and most coherent, I would really like a whole album of that.

I would do a lot of messed up stuff for a whole album of Not The Actual Events type material.

Lol^ and yeah JayEnder, I wish there were more of each style of song on the EP (fast/short punk of Branches/Bones, creepy idm layered Dear World, dark ambient industrial She's Gone Away, hard hitting urgent bangers like The Idea Of You, sludge/shoegaze of Burning Bright. Fucking phenomenal EP.

It was literally perfect. I never thought Trent could capture lightning in a bottle like that again after his prime.

Not really, i'm feeling rather satisfied because we get 3 EP's worth of great music.

As far as albums go, I think my Nine Inch Nails tier goes: Downward Spiral, The Fragile, With Teeth, Bad Witch, Year Zero.

Pretty Hate Machine goes without saying. That album is legend status. Putting that record on the list skews everything that follows.

Yeah, PHM is always gonna be up there because of how revolutionary it is. I would put this as the best thing they've done since The Fragile.
My top being (Obviously excluding PHM):
1: The Downward Spiral.
2: The Fragile.
3: Bad Witch.
4: Year Zero.
5: The Slip (Criminally underrated record)
6: EP's 1 and 2.
7: Hesitation Marks (Flows beautifully, and has some of the most underrated tracks in their catalogue)
8: With Teeth (I love it even though is #8)
9: Broken (Also love it, not as much as the others)
10: Ghosts I-IV (Like it, but it drags a bit)

Broken has some bangers on it. I also agree The Slip is underrated, however, I don't think it's worthy of 5th place.

nah slip is probably top 3 for me, everything just clicks om that one - wish it was loved a lot more :/
and this one is incredible, has to be listened from start to finish in a quiet, dim room.

It's a very consistent record from beginning to end, also, intrumentals are great and eerie af, just like the ones in Bad Witch.
