This review needs to be bumped to the starting position, its an excellent read and I believe you probably took the most care with this one shadows.

Yeah, this is one of your best reviews, right up there with the Mirrorthrone and Damnation reviews.

Amazing review, jee wiz I had to look a word up every 2 sentences :p. I still haven't been able to experience the subtleties of Opeth, but this review is just too enticing. Excellent.

BUY THIS ALBUM NOW OR JESUS WILL CONDEMN YOU TO HELL

It's that good.

The title track is currently my favorite on the cd, closely followed by bleak, then lper affinity, then drapery falls.

Bleak has got to be the catchiest song on the cd, and the start of The Drapery Falls is just so perfectly done.

The Drapery Falls does have an excellent intro. It sends chills down my spine. Bleak, The Leper Affinity , and The Drapery Falls are all better than Blackwater Park.

The Funeral Portrait is fun to play on the guitar.

the clean singing towards the end of "bleak" is completely goosebump-giving

yeah this was well written, but it looks like you spent a couple of nights up late with the thesaurus while writing the intro. I still liked it though. your lavish compliments of it's transcendence were a little bit over the top, but you obviously believed wholeheartedly in what you were saying. To me this is a pretty good fusion of many genres, and a quality album overall, but definitely not of the celestial quality you implied.
