With the exception of Rudy Klapper, I was wondering if anybody here has really listened to the album
to give an opinion about it. The review is well done, although I'm not agree with it. In my opinion
"Breakout" is an enjoyable record that contains a lot of potential hits such "Breakout", "7 Things",
The Driveway" or "These Four Walls". Any of these songs, for example, are better than the last
twenty years of the Metallica's career. In the case of "Wake Up America" has more hooks than the any
of the pseudo-sermons that I ever heard in Bono's mouth since......I don't remember now. Maybe she
is not a new Aretha Franklin (neither a new Cyndi Lauper) but she has a good voice, better than a
lot of people think. Her range is not as limited as Rudy said. I'd say that she is just a mezzo (or
maybe a contralto) and, for the love of God....aren't you boring to listened to all those Whitney
Houston's attempts?
If you have no prejudice against the blatantly commercial music, eventhough you know that is made to
like at children or teenagers, "Breakout" is an enjoyable album, full of energy. It sounds in my
car pretty frecuently and is better than a "red bull" to combat sleep.
Sorry for my english!!!
