True, I thought Arsenal were dead-certs to top their group. Yeah, the squad has infinitely more depth this season and the team's far superior for it. 5 league goals conceded in the first half of the season is quite incredible.
Truthfully, I don't even know. I wasn't much into football before but I watched one of their matches on ESPN one night and Ribery scored a scorcher so I watched the next one and kept going. People always laugh that I don't have any ties to the club but it's either Celtic or Rangers and Scottish football is hilariously bad so...

I mean the 'ethos' has kinda broken down and the owners basically just cash in on the
club but I like the dedication to not just buying trophies and actually developing strong
footballers (which other teams benefit from hahaha).
As for Wenger. I'm not sure where I stand on him. I'd only trade him at this stage for
Mourinho or Guardiola (wishful thinking?) but he needs to be more critical of the team in
public when they play badly and he needs to buy more players now that the old system is
no longer working, although we're now in the position where we can't buy anyone
anyway. So maybe he's lost his spark after all and Arsenal need to go in a new direction.
I'd miss him though.
I'm cynical about Arsenal actually benefitting from these fair play rules when they come
into effect so maybe change is needed before it's too late. Cos at the moment they look
all too happy to lay back and wait for this to come out but as we do that we decline and
could end up like Liverpool
