I'm with you tresm87. This record is catchy as hell. uplifting lyrics can definitely be a nice change of pace in the realm of heavy music.

Yup. It might not have a setlist-ending classic like "To Plant a Seed" but the album is definitely their most consistently solid from beginning to end.

They released a new song, and it's actually pretty good, the singer sounds really good without lots of digital effects!

Yeah safe is a pretty accurate description. It's even safer than moreso than this record's materail. And as much as I like this record, I don't really want to see them sail any further into safe waters. I don't think pulling off pop songs is a big surprise to anyone.

^UWWGTB is their best, imo but this album is great. New album sucks hard tho
Everything As Planned is the greatest song this band has ever done. They should've stuck with the orchestral arrangements.

I just listened to these both within the last few days and decided this one is my favorite. I always thought Understanding had the more cohesive album feel throughout it, but this one has more memorable moments and hooks. Both are great albums though.
