I was kidding, as if to imply that my opinion alone settles the debate haha
but anyway, same here...I could make an honest case that PH could be #1 based on the strength of certain songs, but it's just not as consistent as B,S, CFUTF, or TS.

Loving everything here except for Dirty Air...production sounds weird (can barely hear the intro bass, and even the drums in the beginning sound really muted and compressed). Existential Dread isn't amazing either, but I'm loving everything else. Cities gets stuck in my head for hours. "Seeeeraphim, and Cheeerubim"

also here's my obligatory "It's All Crazy is actually their best" plug, which will of course be shouted down by a chorus of "NO IT'S BROTHER SISTER" (which is, of course, still excellent)

I feel this, those are my two faves as well. "Grist" and "Cardiff" are both excellent too, but outside of those, I don't get the hype. Some of their most boring songwriting, uninspired hooks, and straight up filler like "Fiji Mermaid". As always tho, stellar lyrics.

Ten Stories felt like a pretty decent rebound off of the huge question mark that It's All Crazy was, and Pale Horses represented a full return to form. Ten Stories got weirdly cheery indie-poppy at certain points, and PH cut off the unnecessary fat.
