The beat with the cars on Run for Your Life is great.

La Chat snapped to.

Do you mean CLPPNG or midcity? I'd say this is most like CLPPNG. Splendor & Misery is a lot more cinematic, for better or worse -- a few really big tracks, but also a lot of dead space.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either to be honest... Hoping the other couple songs are better. Also, haven't listened to Shabazz in years; used to like Digable Planets though. Oh, and yeah, Benny and La Chat two of the best verses on this album.

Club Down rips.

Dark as hell, but it almost sounds like spoken word. In fact a lot of Daveed's writing style is almost spoken word round pegs with the sides lopped off to fit in square rap holes, and somehow it works so well.

"The schoolyard reeks of sewage, broken pipes, broken promise

The thin man staggers lucid for this time of night

Drying vomit dangles from the beard, step, mumble, shuffle, trip

But the trajectory is clear, he's headed for the covered steps

Tut, tut, it looks like rain, he remembers A. A. Milne

Each time the sky is this kind of grey,"

Run For Your Life is one of the greatest production jobs of ALL time. Can't get over that passing car transition.
