Agreed, they all deserve a listen, but I like this one the best.

Isn't track 8 supposed to be "Change Your Mind"?
At the very least the version I have has that song instead of "Glamorous Indie Rockn'Roll" (and I do actually own the album).

Good review besides that.

I own the album and it's Glamorous Indie Rock n Roll.

Another band that sadly appears to have reached their zenith on their first album. For those on the fence, I'd suggest getting it. At it's worst, it's good and when the band hits on all cylinders, it's actually quite excellent. They've never approached anything as good as this since. A keeper for sure.

Oh, and song 8 is indeed "Change Your Mind". http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:ajfyxqraldke

It differs between UK & US version. I think the UK version is Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll, from what I recall. I love both tracks though, on my tracklisting for it I've jammed Change Your Mind in after IR&R.

Definitely agree with the view. A very strong first half and then the album sort of just... eases off I guess? Not nearly as strong. Catchy though and a great sound. Their best album, Sam's Town is decent, but even less of it is worth a listen, again (if I remember correctly) - the first THIRD of Sam's Town is good.

Practically every song on this album is a fucking hit. 'Cept Andy, You're A Star, that song is dripping with gayness.

Thanks dude. Wilco is pgood. CTTS is better though. I have to listen to Mr. Brightside now though cause it's catchy as hell.

Odd comparison, yet I agree, and I'm going to do the same.

I have a habit of harmonizing with every song on this album in the shower. Am I gay yet?

Haha, this album is somewhat of a guilty pleasure of mine. . . Sam's Town was pretty good! Why the hate?
