I really really enjoy this cd! It sounds stupid, but I like it the most because he screams "cleaner" IMO. I seriously like to understand people whne they scream, and for the most part, I can in this album. Great album and a good band! Tonight in Flames, I am the Thorn and Byronic man are all real standouts

This is their best since Midian by far. It keeps their usual Gothic Black Metal feel on songs like Lovesick For Mina and Under Huntress Moon and goes Thrash-like on The Foetus Of A New Day Kicking. Hopefully the next album will be a mix of Midian and Dusk And Her Embrace with the vampyric themes like Paul said it would.

Temptation is ok. I agree about Dirge Inferno. My favorites are Dirge Inferno, Tonight In Flames, I Am The Thorn, Cemetery And Sundown, The Foetus Of A New Day Kicking, and Under Huntress Moon.

I liked Temptation because of the female vox, thats always a plus for me. If it wouldn't of had that I probably wouldn't of liked the song so much. I agree Tonight in Flames owns!

Yeah the female vocals on Temptation are pretty brutal and very good. Tonight In Flames is one of COF best songs ever. I'm really looking forward to the next album. According to Paul, its a mixture of Midian and Dusk And Her Embrace. If thats the case then it will be amazing.

If you mean the special edition then yes i have it. The new songs on there are awesome. They are very opposite of the stuff on here. More solos, more blast beats, faster...its really good. It sounds like Midian with less synths mixed with Vempire.

Yeah its definitely the new songs are definitely the best material they have released as a whole since Midian IMO. Courting Baphomet is one of my favorite COF songs now.

These guys were getting close to becoming my favorite band, but from Damnation to this I have lost all faith in them... maybe this will bring some back... and I'll have to find this special edition you speak of.

Yeah Damnation is definitely my least favorite. It probably could/would have been much better if their wasnt 17 fucking songs and like 6 pointless instrumentals. This album cant touch their older stuff, but the special edition definitely gives the feel of the era from Vempire through Midian.

this album kicks balls, nuff said, i was warned off it at first solely because of temptation, then i listened to it anyway, its a weird 1, 1 that grows on you the more you listen to it, the feotus of a new day kicking is amazing too, even though the guitar riff was (either by accident or on purpose) stolen from HIM's "rip out the wings of a butterfly" and altered, but given that, CoF used it to much better effect
