I think they can come back from this. It was an experiment that wasn't a total failure, and it sounds like they've got it out of their systems. Besides, personally I've never loved any of their studio albums. Live is where they shine.
Edit: Showtime, Storytime and End of an Era are the only Nightwish albums I Listen to.

Noise and Shoemaker are really good, and different from the band's normal sound. The rest of disc 1 isn't as good. In my world, there isn't a disc 2 on this album.

Video is.. something. The sound effect of the owl's head spinning in the beginning got me laughing, but yeah idk song was a bit unmemorable after first listen. The part at 6:15 was cool, felt nicely apocalyptic which I think they were going for, but not a huge payoff. Chorus is too mayonnaise, and I've never really been into the bagpipe guy's contributions to their sound. It's not that I want them to go back to writing pop songs, but take a track like the Poet and the Pendulum.. It takes you on a wild ride and is super catchy, memorable, and moving. This just doesn't do that for me.
