I really love this album. It's nothing flashy but it hits the spot. It has that sound Coldplay tried to capture but never quite managed to reach.

All singles from this album were excellent, but overall Under the Iron Sea is tighter IMO. Sucks they turned to pop anthems after these albums.

I prefer heavier rock, but this is a secret pleasure of mine. Bought cheap because of the 2 big hits and fell in love with it. A perfect album to listen in the car, through rainy afternoons, watching the sea, alone.

What sea are we talking about? Listening to this while looking at the Thames Estuary is suicide material.

Oh absolutely. First two had them nipping at Coldplay's heels as a better indie alternative to the same brand of piano-rock, but then with PS they literally fell off a cliff and never recovered.
