This has grown more and more each time I listen. Their best EP right here.

I could see that, I usually prefer the more engaging and unpredictable nature of this, but the Silence EPs also have this very consistent, engrossing atmosphere that has the ability to really absorb me when I'm in the right time and place. They're around the same level of quality for me.

Hmm this is one of my favourite releases of theirs, weirdly enough, it's a perfect mini album/ep, love the vibe/sounds and textures, and it's not as bombastic as blood inside... And has some more of that melancholy/quiet that pervades perdition city (which I love).

Personally, I like this release, perdition city and shadows of the sun the best, but I can appreciate their black metal beginning's as well - I don't think it's that hard if you're open minded as Ulver/Garm have been pretty consistent in terms of quality through out their career.

Ulver's new album, the assassination of Julius Caesar is (surprisingly) good as well - as Ulver sorts lost me after shadows of the sun, I'm happy that they're back to.a.more electronic sound ;)

Yes I totally get this. Hard to pinpoint why, but it's spooky in a way.

Kinda weird how this has two inferior but decent versions of the #1 tracks on different Ulver LPs
