Really? I wonder if I should check out AFI, they’ve always appeared in suggestions to me, but I only ever heard miss murder and thought it was ass.

Miss murder is probably bottom 3 for December underground. Check sing the sorrow, I'd say it's what Aiden was trying to emulate here most.

Aiden was always just trying to be The Misfits.

yeah, if anything they wanted to be Days of the Phoenix AFI, not Decemberunderground

Our gangs dark oath gives off those black sails/art vibes but nightmare on id say they were chasing after the newer afi sound. Victory was definitely trying to label them that way. I don't think it's coincidence that afi was fond of misfits as well, and Aiden covered them as often as afi did.

Yeah I'm not with this "they were trying to be AFI" claim at all lol

Aiden got compared to AFI and MCR but they were definitely trying to be the next Misfits even though Wil Francis couldn’t carry a tune or scream properly to save his life. Victory Records were definitely trying to make them seem more like MCR/AFI at the time. Aiden went from sounding like basement metalcore to MCR/AFI ripoffs to HIM ripoffs with their third album. Tbh their third album is their best and most underrated album.

I think they're pretty solid. Not original or life changing by any means, but just solid catchy fun.
