Cocaine what's your rating? I know back in the epic Kezia war we both cited Hot Cross a bunch but I don't think I ever got your actual take on their stuff other than maybe one comment on Cryonics.

I'm going for a 4. I really enjoy this album. I like that it's not as raw and whatever other shit people are trying to say .
And back when I seemed to have a vendetta against you in that argument, I cited them, but it was during a period where for some reason I wasn't all too huge on them.
I loooooooooved Cryonics when I first got it, but then I didn't love it so much. Now I love it again.

I just listened to "Fatefully" a couple of times on their myspace, and it rocks pretty hard. I checked them out a year or so ago and I remember not liking it very much. But alas, my tastes have broadened since then. Any chance you could send me/direct me to a couple of these tracks, Nick?

I just listened to this today. There's not one memorable track on this album.
Improved vocals!?!?. I don't like them at all. They sound really emo/pop punk. The guitar really annoys me aswell. Too many pull offs!
Cryonics was waaay better. Good lyrics tho.

Thanks for IMing this stuff, Nick. Very very good, but IMO not as good as Fair Trades (my personal favorite) or Cryonics. Excellent review as well.

Flypaper, we're sorry that the guitar in this band actual tries to show some skill in the songs.
But I agree, Cryonics was better, but this is still good.

Yeah hes an awesome guitarist. Just the hammer on/ pully offy stuff starts to get boring after awhile. The rest is good. I might give it a few more listens.

Yeah, Thomas Erak does that whole pull-off thing a bit better with TFOT if you ask me, but overall they both need to learn how to NOT do it because it's becoming very stock/standard for the genre. Learn some scales fellas.

This release definitely has the fewest number of hammer-on's of any of their albums. Fair Trades was like Mastodon levels of hammer-on's, where as this is mixed in with alot more straight rhythm guitar work (comparatively) .

Yes, Rhapsody has this now.
Will give it a listen in a reasonably short amount of time.

Okay, so this is pretty good. A lot of the songs sound similar, but most are good.
I think I'll need to pick Cryonics now.

I just heard Turncoat Revolution on their myspace. I'm getting this album.

This album is pretty fantastic. Not as good as Cryonics mainly because of the recording, but still a very good follow up. There's just some stuff on here that is really new and inventive for Hot Cross; most of it is good, some moments are too Equal Vision for me. But yeah, Billy's vocals rule.
