Listen to 505 again. It is most probably the greatest song they've recorded. this is somewhere between a 4 - 4.5 for me. It's a shame this album is going to be lumped with the awful Humbug and not with Whatever People Say I Am... because I think it is considerably better than the debut

This is definitely such an excellent album, 505 indeed is the greatest song they've written, never gets old. But no need to bash Humbug, it's my 2nd favorite, I think it's misunderstood by others but that's just me.

I think this was a really positive direction to take after Whatever... Now I miss their energy and brash wittiness. They're still witty, but in a seemingly more eloquent way.

Gotta agree...much more interesting guitar textures and moods, but still a large amount of the frenetic energy that made their debut so good.
