This is similar to A-Types. It is just a solid effort from a band that is interesting enough not to be generic. It is good and I'll probably use it for a month and then be done with it. I guess it is just like my first girlfriend.

I love A Types. I need to check this out!

I can never find A-types.
So far, I am loving this. I've listened to about half of the songs completely.

Rx Contender the Pretender sounds like something from Deftones which isn't a bad thing or anything.

EDIT: Just listened. It's not bad, but like your review said, it pretty unbalanced. The best songs are incredible, and the bad songs are really bad. A 3 from me for right now. Maybe a 3.5 in timeThis Message Edited On 05.23.07

Now that I've listened to this in it's entirety..I must say that this album is without many flaws.
The end tends to lack compared to the beginning half, but I don't think Paisley is a bad closer.
Does anyone else think that "I Can Do This On An Islands" entrance from "Cubic..." is amazing? This Message Edited On 05.23.07

I think Paisley is pretty great, and Cubic into Island rules too.

I'm mildly obsessed with this right now, while I'm digesting it. I'm thinking that this will settle around a 3-3.5 tho.
Nick, next time you're on AIM you should hit me with A Types. Thanks.

I'm glad that the album version of "Bird Flu" isn't anywhere near the same as the Trustkill sampler version.
Right now this hasn't completely set in, but it's still enjoyable. Just not as good as "A Types", or "The Satellite Years".

Hey dude, how about you stick around and post more.

I'll try doing that.
So apparently Trustkill isn't digging "Magnetic North". I read two myspace bulletins a couple weeks ago that the band made and they were posting crap that people had to say about Trustkill. Then they themselves said that Trustkill didn't like the new album.

Hahaha, I like the quote from the guy from Terror in their most recent blog.
"Dudes need to stop listening to Sting, put on a fuckin' Madball record, or something." - Jonathan Buske, Terror

Very much so. Right now as it stands "Bird Flu" triumphs over everything else, and right behind that are the first two songs.

Same here, this has become somewhat of a failsafe for me...as I just kind of throw it in whenever. Music like this is usually a little more mood based. This Message Edited On 06.17.07

Man I feel so guilty right now for my rating. "East of 1989" and "Bird Flu" back to back just slay me.

this band went through so many lineup changes, it just turns out that the new musicians are mocking the old style.
and i heard they lost their members again.
