Its like a garden of sound.

hmmm...
I went ahead and bought the album and it is growing on me much the same way
that Euphoria morning did. It is different- I would venture to say somewhat bluesy
on quite a few of the tracks. Anyway, I liike that my Cornell collection is so diverse.
Saw him in April and it was freaking awesome. Here is a video that I took (quality is
that of the video feature on my camera) of Can't Change Me followed by Cornell
covering Led Zep's Thank You. Anyway... My .02

Welcome to the site, Jen. That link doesn't work for me, I don't think? Or I don't know what I'm looking for.
You can write a review for this album if you like. We encourage that sort of stuff around here. Or write a short opinion. Would be nice hearing the other POV

Hi, thanks for the welcome. I will do that! I'm still figuring out how the features work
on the home page.
Oh, and it seems that you have to copy and paste the link in the navigation bar.

Really good review. There's some really dull moments here amongst a handful of decent tunes. I just doesn't rate with classic Soundgarden IMO.

This album is really bad..
I was looking very much forward to it because of that acoustic bootleg with Chris Cornell playing acoustic..
That bootleg was several times better than this album
I have no idea how he managed to sound worse in the studio, than liveThis Message Edited On 06.18.07

"But a voice like Cornell's needs an outlet even Soundgarden and Audioslave never gave him, although more appropriate then what we find here."
Maybe he should've joined The Tea Party then?
*drools at the thought*

I got this album for £2 off the back of seeing Chris in Hyde Park (where he was awesome and looked every inch the Cornell I expected) but was dissapointed after a couple of spins. I thought Euphoria Morning was one of the most diverse and interesting albums from a solo artist and by comparison Carry On feels really drab and pedestrian.
I got the feeling that Chris wanted to record a chilled out album but felt that he had to put a few rockers on there as a courtesy to his fans. They felt a bit forced to me. Dissapointed but hopeful for further releases.

It is pretty good indeed. Certainly no Soundgarden, Euphoria Morning or Audioslave but there are some fantastic fucking tunes on here. Just inconsistent
