Yeah, I think they knew it might be their last album and added more tracks than they otherwise would have.

That's not including the bonus tracks, right?

Either way I'm more interested in getting the other albums now.

The one before this, Manic Impressions, is my personal favorite but it's not as easy to get into as this one.

I hear a lot of Faith No More in this....not too surprising I guess given the time period

Really? Which songs? I've been listening to this for years and have never thought that.

I'm a little over half way through this... but Grateful and Too Many Prophets in particular. I should say it's mostly the vocal delivery (subdued to shouted to kinda krazy) reminding me of Mike Patton. The guitar leads in that song also really make me think FNM but I suppose it could just be tone.

This is obv way more thrash, which I dig

edit: also, I'm sure you have much more appropriate comparisons, I'm using what I have.

I just listened to the first half of this again, and now that you mention it I can hear some parts in a few places that could justify some subtle comparisons. So, I'm guessing that you're enjoying this since you're still going through it?

Yeah I like thrash, and this is pretty sick...the riffs in Grateful and Sense of Will put a big ol' smile on my face. These guys were really trying to stretch the genre considering this is 1993.

Awesome. In that case I'd really have to recommend Manic Impressions next. They were definitely ahead of their time - apparently a little too far ahead.

Awesome band.

I managed to get the Metal Blade re-issue for "Screams and Whispers" just before it gets out of print.

It's a shame their albums - especially the last two - are out of print, while there's so much lame stuff released in today's metal music production.

It's kind of a shame until you realize that the band are giving away all four albums for free now. Also, the re-recording album should be out soon, too.

They just re-recorded their first two albums and they sound awesome. I think it's worth buying those two over downloading the original two for free from the band's website.
