Album Rating: 3.5
Exploring his catalogue a bit more deeply, listened to this for the first time. Devy's definitely still on some creative wavelength here like he is with much of his early stuff, it's just such an odd album sandwiched between Infinity and Terria (which are infinitely, pun intended, more creative and dynamic albums than this). It's a neat excursion into the power metal wall-of-sound approach.
But jesus christ the production. The interesting thing is a lot of the layers are still pretty clear but the sound as a whole is borders on unlistenable on some songs. Planet Rain definitely shows this album at its best
