Him is trash. They are just trying to appeal to a certain stereotype of emos and goths.
Not to mention this Ville Valo character has 5 grade metaphors and similes in his songs. Good voice, decent guitar tone, everything else reeks.

I'm sorry but I just don't see the talent in their boring songs, even if he does have album covers of his naked torso or is a freaky vampire/Finnish Bam Margera's idol (which doesn't do much for the image).

I might download a song or two off of this. They're not bad, but if I want poppy, accessible Goth-lite, I'll listen to mid-career Cure albums.
Still, Cocaine reminded me exactly why I hate this band's fans with the heat of a thousand burning suns.
