Put the summary somewhere else and clean up the review a bit, but besides that this is a good review.
Haven't heard anything from this band besides their Master of Puppets cover, and that certainly didn't make me interested.

That should help you out!
Other than that, Willie stole what I was going to say about this review as well. Just listen to Willie. On a note about this band, I'm a huge metalhead and I don't really care who talks shit about bands I enjoy listening too. I happen to like this album and I think alot of these 'so called' fanboys need to take a note. What's the point of defending a band that you like but someone else despises. Do you think you are going to convince them over the internet that they should listen to them? You like what you like, and say "Who gives a flying fuck" to other peoples opinions that differ from yours.

Hamburger actually asked us to talk about his review. Even so, the discussion is both for the album and the review, that is why we have a vote for the review.

uhh i thought it was a good review...maybe just a little too short and a little to bias. i think this album does deserve more than a 1.5...it's nothing spectacular, but it's a decent metal album, even if unoriginal. their second (major) release however is just a disgrace. awful. i don't even wanna talk about it anymore...

This album is not revolutionary, is not wonderful, and is not awe inspiring. Big deal. It's something to rock out to. There's not reason someone cannot appreciate it at all. It's been a mainstream success, yes, but that does not discount it's catchy-ness. Not all music is a revolution. Deal with it. I laugh at the fanboys and despise the haters mostly because their arguments are dull and uninspiring. I would recommend not to review albums if you're going to make fun of it. It's not constructive and disheartening. Unless of course the album is worthy which I believe this is not. It is just another metalcore album...but I'll tell you what...some times, if I'm in the mood, I just want to listen to some metalcore and this does the job.

It's something to rock out to. There's not reason someone cannot appreciate it at all. Bad singing, uninspired guitar riffs, songs all look like each other, very bad lyrics, drowned bass, need I say more?
I would recommend not to review albums if you're going to make fun of it. I have never made fun of an album in a review, and I plan to never do that either.
Arrogance of the band has nothing to do with the music on the CD's That's right, but information about previous albums has nothing to with it either, still they are mentioned.
The fact is, people hate Trivium a lot of the time because of their popularity. And these sentences make me very angry and upset. I can't speak of all the Trivium "haters" out there, but I doubt they all hate Trivium because of their popularity. I listen to Muse and I LOVE it, even though they're incredible popular. This Message Edited On 12.06.07

Hamburger is right, when an album is bad you're not making fun of it, you're pointing out its flaws. It's good writing if you can do it in an enjoyable way.

That's right, but information about previous albums has nothing to with it either, still they are mentioned. Yes, but that information is generally used to show how the band has progressed up to the album in question, or to simply compare how it sounds in relation to their other ones... the band member's dispositions have nothing to do with the quality of music, nor can it really be used to describe the music...And these sentences make me very angry and upset. I can't speak of all the Trivium "haters" out there, but I doubt they all hate Trivium because of their popularity. He didn't say all the Trivium haters felt that way, he said that they do "a lot of the time"... and in metal especially, people will start hating bands simply because too many other people like them or because the people at Hot Topic sell their shirts now...Hamburger is right, when an album is bad you're not making fun of it, you're pointing out its flaws. It's good writing if you can do it in an enjoyable way. Listen to this man, he knows what he's talking about

Few mistakes in the review, but good nonetheless. As for Trivium, I think they're one of the worst American metal bands that does not get one ounce of the praise that is lauded upon them. The only member who deserves praise is the drummer; he's not terrible. And some of the guitar solos are interesting. Other than that, godawful.
But that's just my opinion. Attack it and I'll defend it. Leave it alone and I'll leave yours alone.
