Yeah, it definitely seems like a grower, but I've heard from multiple sources I trust that the final track is the best off here, and it's good, but it doesn't even touch a single song off of California, for me.

Tracks 2-7 are my favorite part of the album
and yeah, it's a total grower. First few times I listened to it, I thought it was pretty lousy. I love
the progression that they made on California but I can still appreciate both despite the huge
differences. California is more instantly rewarding though, that's for sure. I have to be in a
particular mood to listen to this but when I do I usually listen to the entire album in one
sitting.
