You wouldn't, but I do.

No way.
Basically, these guys have real repetitive song structures (especially in the first half of this record), whereas the Killers (while not being completely original) are pretty diverse.

the killers kind of blow though... love the album, by the way haha. the guitar parts are pretty simple but they sound amazing, and the feel that you get from the songs is indescribable.

This has become one of my favorite albums of the year. The lyrics and just the feel when you listen to it are amazing. It is hard to explain what it is, but when I listen to it I just become mesmerized.

'Hot Fuss' is the only good Killers album.
This album is such an awesome chill out listen.

I am fucking jealous.

Okay, so I heard that this album was absolutely fantastic. So I was at Wal-Mart with a friend and saw it for sale at freaking $8, so I was like.
SOLD!
First album I've actually bought before downloading in I dunno how long.
And then I remembered that I'm going to see them next month with Thrice, Rise Against, and Alkaline Trio thanks to Masochist. Gonna actually give it a rating later, though. So far, it's great.

I'm hitting up the Milwaukee show on that tour and it's gonna fuckin rule.
I finally checked this out last night and listened to it a couple times while building decks today. I gotta say, its incredibly solid. Songwriting and the production are awesome, and homeboys voice is perfect for the sound. Probably gonna be around a 4 for me.

Listening to this so much it's crazy

It's worn off me a bit, I think it's too repetitive. I mean it's still a great album but possibly a bit overhyped? idk

Yeah but basically everything that ends up getting hyped gets overhyped because everyone who hears the hype and ends up liking it continues the hype so the hype just keeps hyping and you end up with a shitload of hype

Usually stuff which is so blatantly derivative is pretty lame but this is just plain awesome.

Yeah I've never loved an album that abuses the same chord progressions over and over so unconditionally

This sound make me feel all nostalgic, like i miss the good old days, although i was born in the 80s. lol. Im really into traditional sailor jerry tattoos, 50s pin-up art etc, this conjures up that kind of imagery for me.

never been a big fan
ive heard a few singles
is the album worth getting?

Taking a look at you ratings I don't know if this would be for you... check out the songs in their myspace just in case cuz album is very good.
From what I saw from your rating first things that came to mind as recommendations are the album I'm digging (I Am Ghost - Lover Requiem), much better than the new one by FAR, and older HIM albums like Razorblade Romance, also much better than Dark Light by FAR... or Venus Doom if u like more the Metallic side of HIM.
I have a test in 10 minutes, so forgive me from just recommending that. This Message Edited On 11.13.08
