This album was such a disappointment. I pretty much worshiped TFOI but this album is so much worse. Phil's vocals sound so computerized on Overcome, the production and songwriting held down the album a lot. Two Weeks is the only redeeming song off of the album.

Not close too TFOI but still a strong album. Good review but i would have gave it a 3. They are taking a different route but at least they didn't pull an Atreyu.

I wouldn't expect too much out of this record, it's distinctly average
but all in all it's a fun listen, despite the notsogood screaming

the guitars sound like their missing something. i dont like this new sound. but some of the songs are pretty good. two weeks, chiron, before the damned, forever in your hands are some pretty strong ones.

Every time Chiron pops up in my playlist I'm instantly reminded of how forgettable the rest of the album is. Shame that sentiment has to accompany such a fun song.

"Two Weeks" was the only song I really liked.

Alot of these metalcore bands need to be careful because trying to force themselves into this main stream vocal style is going to be the death of these bands. As talented as they are, alot of these dudes like phil are good singers..... for a a hardcore audience, and in small tastefull doses, but they're not strong enough to pull off an album with 60% clean vocals in it. same thing with A7X, killswitch,

Only heard Chiron and Two Weeks (off rock band) and both were pretty good.
|
| |
yeah and howard is a stronger singer than phil in general i agree,( even though I still think Jesse Leach is better, ) but killswitch are also better at writing songs that fits that format, Although I'm praying that they'll get away from it.
