No. What I meant was this one was the stepping stone, the final product being No Devolucion - their best. Since Common Existence was kinda prototypical.

While No Devolucion is my second favorite Thursday record, I think As He Climbed the Dark Mountain was the last truly epic song that Thursday wrote. I was really disappointed when they made a music video for In Silence and not that song. I was really interested to see what kind of work they would do with the song.

Always return to this album every Autumn. This split is utterly fantastic and is entirely overlooked for no good reason. Thursday's 'An Absurd and Unrealistic Dream of Peace' is one of the best tracks the band has ever released. Envy's contribution to this is amazing as well. Absolutely love 'An Umbrella Fallen into Fiction.'

A co-worker rec'd me this yesterday and I'm glad he did. I've always loved Thursday but I somehow never knew about this. This is some of their best work, and the Envy tracks sound amazing too. Can't wait to delve into that band's other music.

It's wildly unfortunate that this EP was sort of a one-off for the band. Common existence was definitely great, but it didn't fall in line overall with what was going on here.

Indeed. This feels really unique for Thursday. Maybe closer to No Devolution than Common Existence.

might be mostly because i just expected more. the ambient songs were sorta whatever, + envy's side is when they started getting kinda gimmicky

I think as a whole the ambient songs set the mood better than any of the other tracks.
