good review man, that you nailed it with regardless of the shamefull rip-offs, its still pretty fun to listen to. Mostly upbeat. Bubble-gum rock.



That iggy pop collab is shit, on both parties counts. Iggy destroyed his own song. But i wouldnt be surprised is album number 3 turns out to be half decent. But then again i wouldnt be suprised is it was crap. But I'm hopin its recieved well, just to see some fellow Aussies come good.

As Bastard said, I tend to review discographies and post every 3 days, so 'Shine On' will indeed be reviewed come Monday. As for your question, I can see why you think the way you do, but I have to disagree.

My sister nearly caught me 3 times in the last week or so, and if she does... Well, safe to say, I'm in big trouble. I'm also waiting 'til christmas to get more memory so I can keep downloading, I'm ending up downloading 2-3 GB of music per week illegally, which isn't looking too good for me.
As for going Lars on you... No way! I'm not that "righteous", thank god.

Ahh, so you've got no self-control!!! 2-3 GBs per week is huge... Well, at least for me it is. Maybe you just have to get a little more selective with your downloads. We can't have everything you know? Well, we pretty much can, but just pretend you can't.

I try to be selective, but that still ends up at around 1 GB minimum per week. Ah well.

Fair enough. I was actually came here after reading through those reviews and was surprised to find such a recent review of this, so I figured I'd ask. I guess people who really enjoyed Get Born wouldn't necessarily gravitate towards Shine On, though; they're different enough.

TFLYNN17, 'Shine On' was different to this and may have been the type of album Jet had to make at the time. I can definitely see what they were going for and, like Auldy said earlier, I think their 3rd album will be very important and could go either way next year.
