Kage, I think that's because this album is spottier and of course, obviously less fluid than El Cielo.

Jamais Vu is a great, great song.

The title track is catchy as hell.

is "pedal steel" equivalent to "slide guitar"?

because I saw the band play in March and asked him specifically what the instrument was when I went to get their autograph, and he wrote on the table "slide guitar".

Yeah it's pretty much the same thing as far as I'm concerned.

This is cool, way poppier than El Cielo and thus a bit more enjoyable. Definitely not better though.

It's hard for me to chose between El Cielo and this one as far as which one is better. It all depends on my mood.

Soundwise, how does this compare with El Cielo?

False. Spitshine is the only bad song.

I didn't think Hungover on a Tuesday was that bad to be honest; at least not as bad as Spitshine. The rest of the album is excellent though. Sang Real, Matroshka, Ode to the Sun and Jamais Vu are probably my favourites. Not as good as El Cielo as an album but still fantastic.

Another excellent review for a complicated band. This is a worthy follow-up to the masterpiece "El Cielo."

i dunno, i thought Planting Seeds was a pretty acceptional song, but i wasn't so sure of, actually, i don't know the name of the song cause my friend burned me the cd with bad hand writing and i've been to lazy to look up the titles til now but i don't have the cd on me... yep, but i think my friend called it 'sixteen people in a' something... i don't know what it is... anyway, i wasn't sure about it.

The singer sounds a lot like the vocalist in Emery.

This album is good but I suppose almost anything would be a disappointment after El Cielo.

I heard they're recording their new album in May so I guess we'll have some new dredg by the end of the year.

Good. Oh and yeah singer does kinda sound like the Emery vocalist but less whiny.

I had planned on buying this and El Cielo at the same time but with El Cielo costing 20 bucks at FYE (bastards) and Catch without arms at 12.99 i went for this, i bought it on all the notion that the rest of the songs were like Bug Eyes which was the only song I had heard and decided to make my purchase on lol, kind of a spree music shopper but it pays off, after reading this review ive decided i must get El Cielo, but i find this album very enjoyable
