Karnivool is still a better band...well, they will be if they show the same sort of progress as Birds of Tokyo have.

Yeah 'vool is better. Ive heard 5 or 6 of their new songs albiet live but they're a lot proggier and atmospheric than what was on Themata.

"Daniel Johns is the best thing in Australian music currently, besides maybe Gurrumul"
That Aboriginal dude? I have his album around here (My mum bought it) but never bothered with it....should I?

^It's pretty boring. Well, I guess if you like post-rock you might like it. But even then, it completely lacks the highs and lows, it only has medium/low setting.

lol don't worry, doesn't look like my thing. Unless he grows long blone hair and shoves a guitar in a marshall stack amp and sings about sex drugs and rock and roll :P
I like other music...seriously :D

And with this, we pull out a quote from the great Colin Lane:
"You're so stupid, if all the village idiots in the world came together and formed their own little village, YOU would be the village idiot!"

lol calm down.

My computer is having issues again... The heat is coming. Yet another 43 degree (110F) day on it's way!
No Tom, 'White Witch' is not boring at all... It plays its role well as a bridge between the album's 2 halves.
Great to hear you like this album Billy. And also great to hear another fan of 'Armour For Liars'.
Thanks jingledeath. I hope I haven't built up your expectations too much and you enjoy this album once you hear it.

Obviously my more mainstream leanings result in me preferring Birds Of Tokyo over Karnivool.
MisterBeefy, that's a good question. How about if we teamed him up with The Spice Girls? Or maybe Ian out the front of The Wiggles? Nah, that would still be cool.
Haha, DavID pulls out an Anal & Woody quote. Bonus points there!
Good luck Kane & Ross. I hope I haven't let you down. As a few people have already stated over the 2 reviews I have done, even if you don't think they're all that special, you won't hate them. It's almost guaranteed, especially with this album.

Mate, better it be cancelled than you be out there in it. You want to live to fight another day!
And yeah, agree about the lyrics on 'Armour For Liars'. Best on the LP for mine.
