Finally got round to getting this - really awesome stuff, I'm not usually a fan of deep house, but the production on this is sublime.

I haven't heard much house music, but this is pretty awesome. My dad used to listen to house music all the time, so this kind of brings back memories. I think I'll buy this for him, if they sell it in New Zealand. Can anyone recommend me some other (not necessarily similar) house music?

Hehe, you will really struggle to find this in NZ mate, I had a look for it in real groovy in Wellington but to no avail. Best bet is to go through Comatonse recordings. http://www.comatonse.com/ordering/index.html

As for similiar artists, or just house music in general. Lately I've been on a binge of Omar S, his album Just Ask the Lonely is very much awesome. The title track is in the same vain as Terre Thaemlitz. For previews of his music: http://www.omarsdetroit.us/mp3s.html

Recommended songs: Just Ask the Lonely, Day, I Love U Alex

There are plenty of other great artists in the deep house vain, if you want I can name some more. Or if you want to go explore French house there are tons of great artists like Le Knight Club, Thomas Bangalter, Stardust etc etc

I'm going to check our Omar S now, thanks. Is there anywhere I can order Midtown 120 Blues on LP?
