Listening to this right now. Still an amazing album. This band/album needs a lot more attention around here.

as well as creating some of the most interesting black metal to date.

Damn straight. Drudkh is the best thing happening to black metal as of now. Also, I think these guys are from Russia, so it says in my booklet.

Damn good review Balls. This is how black metal should be done.

The Blazebirth hall is extremely solid. Still need to sift through Rundagor, and Nitberg.

However, Forest's A Blaze Above Ashes is the geratest album i've heard from the hall. So far.

Agreed, that album is brilliant. Looking into Branikald's first LP right now. But yeah, BlazeBirth Hall bands are generally good for NSBM.

Balls, I don't think these guys are from the Ukraine. Double check that because I'm not at home with the booklet.

Also, I just arrived in Toronto, ON about 30 minutes ago and drove through some wicked flurries while listening to this. So grim and so awesome!!!

That's cool dude, both countries love their vodka and we're once communist. Same shit, different pile. Just like to help out a bro.

Wiz you'll love Forest. "As a Song in the Harvest of Grief " isn't that good IMO, but "Like A Blaze Above The Ashes" is great.

Just searched ebay and didn't see any... you're better off just listening to it on youtube.

That was my next plan. The thing is, Youtube sound quality sucks so hard that it's not even worth the listen.

Well let's just say Forest didn't put a huge budget on mixing and mastering so I think you'll be fine
