I guess the moral of the story is that it is best to compromise by looking up setlists to see if there are surprise inclusions, but then NOT memorising the order of songs.

Possibly. I Still think not knowing is better... maybe.

Yes, this time I felt it.

Although I initially thought it was the f**ker next to me shaking my desk! Haha.

Haha. All I can say is thank goodness you left the asterisks where they were & didn't place them in the middle of the word "desk" in your reply!

What exactly is in Britain’s drinking water that makes their residents such an opportunistic lot?

To answer your question, it is trace amounts of LSD =]

Good review Davey, been a while since I've managed to log on to sputnik, internet in my house has been down for the best part of a week, and only just got spare time in the library today. As a matter of fact I actually have a review all written and ready for posting at some stage in the near future, just cant be bothered to put it on a memory stick and submit it here.

I thought you had disappeared for a while Ross. I blame the LSD in your water.

Now let me know what review you were about to post & I will sneak in first & steal all your thunder! (insert maniacal laugh here) ;-)

Oh and Croc, another reason why I like to know setlists before-hand is that I'd rather be disappointed now, than on the night if a band are not going to play a song (For Example; Rise Against not playing 'Savior' or 'Entertainment').

Plus, if they do end up playing the song, it is one hell of a bonus/surprise (For Example; Alkaline Trio playing 'Stupid Kid' at the Melbourne SoundWave when they hadn't been playing it in other states).

Yeah thats a fair point. The Judas Priest set was odd indeed. Me and my mate had half of out favourite songs removed, but some other ones that we thought we would never hear live. It was different...

I think veteran bands like Judas Priest are always more likely to throw in some quirky choices since it must get just a tad (for want of a better word) "boring" playing the same songs for decades & decades.

Yeah I agree. But then again, this was their first Australian visit so I was expecting some obvious classics...
all complaints aside, It was still one of the best gigs I been too.
