You shouldn't really write more than one review per day- your Dream Theater one was very good, perhaps you burned out a little after doing that one?This Message Edited On 03.17.09

The much-hated trash-can snare has so much reverb that it's almost like a guitar noise, and
the two guitars and the drum work together in endless cycles of tumult and calm to create anger,
more anger, and rage, whenever it's called for. It's genius where they've placed these
arrangements.

You really need to justify why you gave this a 4.5. I completely understand where you're coming from, but a 4.5 is a rare gem of an album, nearly a classic but maybe a few blemishes keep it from a 5. This is a very unjustifiable review, but good points about James' singing.

Original take on an album thats garnered a lot of hatred from a lot of people, including me. I praise you for that, but you're not gonna change my view on the album.



For me this is still Metallica's biggest low.

Every time I hear a song from St. Anger I think of a bowling alley.

"To truly understand St. Anger, it must be prepared for over some time, and you must understand the ideas behind the seemingly negative aspects of St. Anger."
