I really hate midwest hiphop, like a lot, and I don't know why, something just never sat right with me when it came to their music. Outside of Kanye or Lupe, whom I wouldn't really classify as 'midwest' as much as 'chicago' style -- people like Tech, Slug, or Bro. Ali have never really done anything for me.
basically this review was so well done that Ill give your trailer park, twin city, corn field bullshit rap a try. Damn you.

This is actually Detroit, which I also consider different from the "trailer park, twin city, corn field" bullsh*t, lol. It's more J Dilla than Brother Ali, that's for sure... Detroit rap is my favorite.
