Solid review. First time I heard this album, especially Insane, I nearly threw up on the floor. But then I got around to liking it a bit, and learned to throw up in my mouth.

pathetic awful excuse for music.

To be completely honest, I think his albums have always been bad and people have just liked them because they were 'supposed' to. I remember thinking 'The Eminem Show' was flat out embarrassing to listen to but people thought it was so great.

This was an awesome review John. The summary and first paragraph were clear-cut and no nonsense, perfectly setting up the rest of the review. I've been listening to a lot of Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LP lately. Ending up falling asleep to the latter last night actually. I'll end up spinning this eventually, despite the fact that your review just further solidifies what I was anticipating. Oh well.

Listening to "Beautiful" you realise that if he did more songs like this, just pouring out what he feels rather than TRYING to make certain types of songs and putting out albums for the sake of putting out albums, he would still be great.

Better than I expected. Flaws in just about every song, but Em is flowing mad. His lyrics still need shock value, but he hasn't fallen off completely.



For me, this album falls between average and good, not great, and much better than Encore.

I can't see this being a 1 from the couple tracks I've heard, but it's definitely nowhere near a 5... or 4... or even 3, either.
