Quote="strikey" in fairness saying the people that listen to this are emo is a fair assertion. emo also exists as a social label for people with eyeliner and skinny jeans and razor blades. but yes musically this is obv nowhere close.

Thank you. You basically said what I failed to try to say.

Point is emo is a genre of music and nothing else.

I understand what you're saying but you're so clearly wrong. Semantic broadening, look it up.

So, Redd, what is this giant movement of faggy kids dressing in shitty clothes and taking pictures of themselves with their stupid hair in their faces called?

Have to agree with Redd though, although the whole thing is stupid. You're valid with your statement of what they're called, however it's still wrong in context with the musical genre.

The problem is that people automatically associate the social movement of 'emo' as being directly related to what they perceive as 'emo' music, when it's really just pop-punk dressed up in glam and goth. It undermines the point of the actual genre of emo by calling a bunch of idiots in black makeup emo, when they probably never once even listened to Moss Icon or Saetia or, hell, even Cap'n Jazz.

hah Of course this thread turned into an emo argument between someone and Reddannihilation. There's always someone who calls TBS emo and Redd is always an asshole so, it was pretty much a given.

This album is really great and I definitely picked up on the "Summer" feel of it. In fact, I wanted to mention in my review that its a "role-down-your-windows" record, as all their music is. My rating would probably sit somewhere between Chan and Strikey.

Absolute Punk slammed this album. They ripped Adam Lazzara's vocal delivery too. I actually like his vocals alot.
