Oh f**k, there's another album I have let slip through the cracks. Alright, can someone invent 50 hour days OR pay me for staying home? You'll do Romulous Gomulous.

Actually "Breathe" was a fairly successful single.

Does Dave ever write a non-excellent review? I guess not. Props for keeping them so interesting all the time once again. Your review is pretty much what I expected the album to sound like. BB need to have more variety, otherwise they will go down a path similar to Nickelback.

Is there anything by these guys that is worth listening to?

| |
Ayeesh. You don't seem to enthused about them...guess I won't make this a priority

Eh, this gives me the same feeling as the new TDG...it's better than that (as BB have always been the better of the two), and within it's genre of mainstream radio rock, it's probably worth a 3.5 or 4...
but that kind of music just doesn't do it for me anymore, and in terms of music as a whole it's so...safe and unimaginative, even if it's very solid.
Good review as always, I think this is going to stick at a 2.5 to be honest.

I dig this album as a (whole) more then phobia due to the fact that there is not a single track i trully hate, but at the same time there is not a song on this albums that is as good as 'diary of Jane' or even touch the greatness of 'breath', but this is a good album nonetheless nothing new...but its harder then phobia.. possibly their hardest stuff yet. anyhows i rated this to high.. i think a 4 would be better but then i rated phobia a bit to high aswell.

this album grows on you davey give it more spins atleast its done a better job then phobia on growing on me although many riffs sound the same...now chevelle's sci fi crimes IMO is there best album to date and that includes WWN and yes i have owned every chevelle album....and Red's latest offering as a whole i dont dig as much but they have 3 to 5 songs which are epic like 'shadows, start again, forever and death of me. All in all these 3 bands are all very good although i think Red should get more mainstream coverage then they do.

One listen through and it's painfully average. The orchestration at the end of Without You is pretty awesome though.

Without You has won easily. But Falls Apart did have a lot.

Damn...I've seen so many falls apart, theres Hurt, Earshot, TFK, Spineshank. Thats really all I can name off the top of my head.

Most common song title is something like "Hold On" or "Untitled"

Great review, I've always kind of had a soft spot for this band. Might check this out

"I've never heard Breaking Benjamin on the radio around here. Maybe once or twice on an "Alt-Rock" station in Kansas City, but as far as pop/rock stations in general, they aren't played here." Could it be a big city thing maybe. I dunno. All I know is you guys in the States have a lot more radio options than we do in Oz.
"Does Dave ever write a non-excellent review?" I'm DaveY. Splat Out is Dave. But thanks for the kudos Nagrarok.
"Is there anything by these guys that is worth listening to?" Puddles, Jom gave the best pointer earlier. All their singles are worth listening to.
"within it's genre of mainstream radio rock, it's probably worth a 3.5 or 4... in terms of music as a whole it's so...safe and unimaginative, even if it's very solid." I can't disagree with any of that Deathcar.
Alexanjah, as much as I believe you have over-rated this album, I do agree with most of your points. I sort of alluded to it in the review, but this album could indeed be considered more consistent than 'Phobia' & 'WANA'. But like you say, there are nowhere near the peaks of those previous LPs. And thanks for the agreement that is actually an overall harder/heavier album.
