OH MY GOD BOOGNISH ARE YOU SERIOUS

Totally. Pretty much everything Frusciante has done since he came back in 99 is just meh. Stadium Arcadium anyone? Navarro is a douche but in the late 80's/early 90's he was doing some cool stuff. Ocean Size, Mountain Song, Three Days etc are fucking awesome songs

Boognish tells lies. You know how awesome some of Frusciante's solo work since 2004 has been? As for the Peppers, SA was not that good, but Californication and By The Way were both really solid albums.

Frusiante pretty much destroys Navarro in not being mediocre.

I always thought this was their strongest. I am not a big RHCP fan but Walkabout, Falling Into Grace, Aeroplane... all gems in my book. I think the violin at the end of FIG is ridiculous. This album is beautiful. The intro in Deep Kick is an ultimate depiction! Solid review tho.

Whoa, that's an original opinion. Not even an RHCP fan an putting one of their least popular album at a 5. The violin is pretty cool but it doesn't add that much to the song imo.

unĀ·fruitĀ·ful
adj.
1. Not bearing fruit or offspring; barren.
2. Not productive of a good or useful result.
Think I'll keep my first choice.

I found this to be completely different from most other Chili Peppers records. It was sometimes that classic chili pepper rock. But obviously, in other places, tottaly funky. As you can see in "Aeroplane". Also "warped" definitely adds some phscadelica to the mix, which i really liked. Overall, a varied, and oddly nostalgic feel for me.

i've never been a great fan of rhcp, but i remember when i listened to this album for the first time it made i dropped my jaw;first of all, i didnt expect such a serious style' evolution: one hot minute was completly different to what peppers showed on their previous releases and i thought that navarro was a great replacement... i still do; another thing that makes i like this album so much is a lot of grunge influences that bring peppers style' to a brand new level; it's really inspiring thing without any weaker moments; it's grungy, and heavier than anything they released before... just fits my musical preferences; last but not least, along with BSSM it's the strongest effort by them; i wish they played this stuff live; rather impossible and it's not the matter of quality... this album simply doesnt fit the rest of peppers' discography; still my RHCP' fav; and as it was said before... i find navarro very talented yet underrated musician; by the way- he's much better than fru, though i know i'm isolated in my opinion
