Interesting rhythm guitar parts on a Chili Peppers album? Must suck.

This is probably my favorite Chilis album to be quite fucking honest.

Yeah, it's seriously underrated.

It's probably the only album of theirs that I feel doesn't have any throwaway tracks (Pea doesn't count). BloodSugarSexMagik is classic sure, but it's a bit too long and the production kills parts of it for me. Californication is like half filler. Mother's Milk doesn't have any weak tracks besides the two shorter songs but it doesn't really have any songs I'd rank in their top 10-20.

Also Shallow Be Thy Game is the best Chili Pepper song ever. Or at least top 5.

Pretty true. Plus, like I said, Navarro's guitar work is a bit more interesting than Frusciante's stuff.

i actually bought the album intentionally to demonstrate that i'm not the "casual" fan that has californication and blood sugar sex magik, and because i'm infamous of buying albums that perfomed poor critically or commercially

"Californication is like half filler."

Agreed with your post yazz except for this. Californication has no bad songs for me.

Lyrically I think this is their strongest album. Never before or since have they ever tackled such dark and REAL topics in such an amazing and relatable manner. BSSM may be better in terms of a "classic feel" sense, but the only song on that album that comes even close to the real anguish we all feel is Under The Bridge. Almost every song on this album describes these feelings perfectly.

it's because people don't accept change. RHCP had always been a funk band until this. quite honestly this album takes some getting used to but it fucking rocks

What ForteRain96 said. By The Way and Stadium Arcadium also have some good, mature lyrics even though there is a lot of non sense in between them. One Hot Minute is really underrated. However, Flea's singing isn't really good.

Aeroplane, My Friends, Warped, Tearjerker, and Walkabout are so good, among the Pepper's best. But I still fucking hate Dave Navarro.

You didn't even list the best songs on the album: Shallow Be Thy Game, Deep Kick, and Transcending.
