Just gave it a second listen. Pure magic... after hearing this album, all of Shearwater's older stuff made a bit more sense to me somehow.

OllieS, it's streaming for the next 2 weeks. Other than that I don't know if it's up for download anywhere. I liked it so much that I didn't even look, it's only 10 bucks to preorder the CD.

seems like a sigur-ros-bon-iver mix, and it rules
edit, 2nd track and i realise this isnt as narrow by any stretch as what i just said, just the first
track made me think that. this is very good though. honest and personal whilst maintaining its size.

Listened to this last night and thought it was awesome. Reminded me of David Sylvian + Minus the Bear or some shit. I can see the sigur ros bon iver thing too though. Good review as well :]

I guess newer Sigur Ros/Bon Iver is apt, though all I heard listening to this was Shearwater. Meiburg's vocals can sound like a number of different people though. But yeah, I feel like they have a sound all of their own really.

i can see the MTB in it too. but weirdly enough they dont sound like any sort of ripoff, just a beautiful indie midpoint.
