Epic summary. Probably won't check this out since Planet of Ice bored me.

Awesome review. Yeah my opinion hasn't changed even after listening to it a shitload of times, it's just missing something. And the production is way too big considering the almost minimalist nature of the music. MTB on autopilot but that's still good.

This is a fantastic review. I enjoyed thoroughly.

What? ): I like it a lot.

It's so cheesy and boring. It's like if Menos El Oso suffered the problems of mainstream modernity as well as its other flaws.

It's like Congratulations... but not totally gay.

Meh, if your looking into this record for them to continue their progression and spice things up I could see disappointment. to me this is just a fun record I can put on and thoroughly enjoy.

I really don't think it's that fun. It bores me at times.

"Terrific review, but the "flaws" of Omni don't really bother me too too much.
We'll see how it grows, because it's a solid 4.5 at this moment."

Good review and fun to read. I think people are being way too hard on this album. It's probably one of their catchiest records yet and still has enough of a progressive edge to please me.
I've only listened to the stream twice cause I wanna wait for the actualy physical copy but from what I'ver heard its probably a 4 for me

yeah, it's not mind-blowing like Planet of Ice but it's pretty awesome -- definitely my record of the summer. I'd still say it's in my top 5 for the year so far too.
Good review.

imho anyone giving this more than a 4, and most people giving it more than a 3.5, are probably hugely biased by the band's previous efforts.
