Saw them open for The Living End and it left a very foul taste in my mouth. Who knows, though, maybe they have worked on their stage persona and crafted a great album.

Saw them at Pyramid and Big Day Out this year and they were decent. They're pretty young, when did you catch them?

Would of been at least 2 years ago. I hate to say it, but definitley one of the worst bands i've seen live.

Yeah I'm sure they've improved since then. Check out the new single:

I wasn't too impressed by their performance last night. I don't think it was the band its self though that ruined it, the sound guys must have been having a shitty night because the whole show sounded like absolute crap. I don't even think the singers mic was turned on

did you catch them with MGMT?

I did. They were pretty okay, nothing extraordinary though. The show itself though was fun just because of the crowd. During Time To Pretend and Flash Delirium the crowd went absolutely CRAZY. Myself being a short fellow, was almost trampled on more than one occasion, and I left with a lot of bruises.

Who would of thought something like that would happen at a fucking MGMT concert haha.

That's pretty sweet. I liked Oracular Spectacular but couldn't get into Congratulations at all.

But yeah, still check these dudes, they sound really great (and stoned) on this.

The hipsters are starting to be all over them. They're gonna be the next MGMT of indie rock (popularity-wise, not necessarily musically).

despite how little i give a shit about hipsters and the "indie" scene, they don't have the overt electro-pop influences oracular spectacular had to really break through into a mainstream audience.

My friend lent this to me the other day. I simply loved it. Made me sooo relaxed.

I almost want 5 this. This is one of the most superior albums as far as talent and song-writing that have out this year.

The songwriting is so strong. It's not technical in a sense that these guys are incredibly proficient in their playing (although they actually are), but it's more the overall amalgamation of different influences they've somehow brought together to create their own cohesive album that's unquestionably theirs. I can't speak highly enough of the production here either, it's probably the best sounding record I've ever heard.
