Neither this or Judgement have any death/doom elements. I am aware that this or Judgement can barely be called metal. I'm just wondering which of their releases are death/doom seeing as they are one of the big 3 of death/doom and i can't be bothered to find out myself ;)

I will give this a go but I'm probably going to put it on the backburner for a bit. Everything I've heard by these guys has been ok but nothing worth listening to a couple more times. Loved the review!

The "Angels Walk Among Us" demo was a lot better than the version on this record. Whole album is pretty dreary except some great moments.

I was waiting for you to review this. Album has been getting lots of praise but I have heard very, very little from this band so I don't know if I will check it out. Haha. Based on the comments, everyone thought I was going to review this. If you were going to check out this particular era of the band (i.e. not the doom era), then I would suggest this as a good starting point -- or Judgement for a bit more of a streamlined gothic rock sound.Was going to review this, but very glad you did instead. Serenades is the only doom album of theirs that's really worth spending any of your time on.The "Angels Walk Among Us" demo was a lot better than the version on this record. I keep playing that one over and over.

By the way, Dreaming Light is great but Everything, Angels Walk Among Us, Thin Air and A Simple Mistake all surpass it. I just can't think of how this album could be any better.
