"if I fell" is a staggering feat of pop songwriting

It's easy to gloss over this period of the Beatles' career, but let's not forget that, due in part to the popularity of the movie associated with the album and in part to the sheer strength of the songwriting here, this was *the* definitive pop album before Rubber Soul came along. Every song on the A-side was included in the film and thus grew to achieve extreme popularity at the time, and the B-side wasn't too shabby either.
