You be goofy

I prefer Soundtrack's more sprawling, all-over-the-place nature. This is still awesome (as my rating will indicate) but it's a little too refined at times

oh man this album owns so much. it's really different from Soundtrack, and probably not quite as good, but it's an absolutely phenomenal album on it's own. I totally thought this guy was going to turn out to be a one-trick pony but I guess I was really really, disgustingly, vomit-inducingly, wrong.

woah I just checked his page, didn't realize he had so many earlier LPs. I guess he was never a one-trick pony at all

Silent:

Do you mean Soundtrack is more experimental? This one is very restrained and very enjoyable. I am somewhat tired of listening to weird stuff.

Really want and album or artist, with music similar to the calming tracks like 'dread, etched in snow' and 'a million dotted lines'
These songs are beautiful and relaxing to listen to at night
I really could use and albums full of songs like this - any recommendations??

The albums "Only Human Remains" (by Fractured) and "Matter + Form" (by VNV Nation) took my electro viginity in early december 2005 and that was what finally took me away from only listening to mainstream 80's, nu metal and alternative rock. It was a great time and both albums still are very important and excellent for me.

When I discovered "Arboreal" in 2010 I already was captivated and fascinated by many electronic genres (EBM, futurepop, dark electro, industrial, trip-hop, ambient, idm and a few more), but that album grew better and better with time.

I love the diversity on it, the electronic sounds and the jazzy drums in some of the songs (same with "Supermodified" by Amon Tobin).
