Good review.

This album, along with 'Give 'Em Enough Rope', seems to get swept under the rug a lot. However, it's a great album that deserves to be heard.

Oh, and props for giving 'Overpowered By Funk' the respect it deserves. The song is ace.

Good review. I'm more of a fan of London Calling, but this has some good songs on it, as well. 'Overpowered by Funk' must be great, and 'Rock the Casbah' always was.

This is a good album. Obviously not even close to being in the league of London Calling (not many albums are), but if they'd never made another album after this, I reckon that quite a lot of people today would really talk about this.

Straight To Hell certainly is one of the band's best, if not their best.

You obviously mean Rock The Casbah is the best song in the history of the universe.

This is the band's third best, right before Sandinista!, or Give Em' Enough Rope.

The album is excellent. Funk covers a great portion of it, and makes up for anything felt unfinished. Straight To Hell is one of those songs that will guide you places for the rest of your life, and Rock The Casbah is also flaw-less. This is one of my top albums, and tags along the band's top three with self titled, and London Calling.

Thanks for the bump y'guys. Whenever my work gets bumped, I go back and give it another go. This one was worth it. This Message Edited On 02.02.06

The Clash is a true punk band and were one of the first bands to start the punk genre. How dare you think the Clash sucks!

I didn't like this album when I first got it, but i am beginning to like it a lot more now. Atom Tan, Rock The Casbah,Know Your Rights, Inoculated City and Straight To Hell are some of the bands best.

a v good album i have on vynil (or however the fuck u spell it). this is a very underated album. some of the clash's best on hear but they should never have let levi's use should i stay or should i go. it made it to commercial, i dont think the reputation it has gained firs with the clash's style.

p.s. if u like more political punk check out U.K. Subs, not as good still i like em try the song: Another Typical City

All that was after this was Cut The Crap which very many people hate, and try to forget.
