Niggaz check out Paul Wardingham - Assimilate Regenerate. Pretty similar stuff to this album. Also rich in the djentz, but heavier and the dude's a serious soloer. Inspired by Per Nilsson, and pulling him off pretty decently.

ehhh pretty overrated here.
Don't get me wrong, the guy is insanely talented. But it's just one guy. And it sounds like just one guy.
Drums follow guitar, bass follows guitar. The only part with actual variations between it are the synths and guitar. This isn't bad necessarily because in a band, you usually only play one instrument. The problem is that there is no dynamic between the instruments and the drums sound lifeless because they are programmed with EZDrummer.
The one-man-project like Tosin, Misha, Angel Vivaldi are fine, they just need to come together as a full group. All the people I just listed got full bands to play with them and influence the writing. Otherwise you get overindulgence of whatever the particulars of the one guy's style are and generally a good bit of sameyness. I think if "Chimp Spanner" goes this route (which he/they currently are) it'll lead only to even greater things

Ha! I remember when I realised what the name meant. I don't think it was in the shower though, although I've had my share or shower epiphanies.
